Hockey Clothing
Ice hockey is a renowned sport in North America, and the market for equipment reflects this. The sport has also increased in popularity throughout the world in part due to the advent of synthetic ice.
The padding on the pelvis, thighs and hips of goalie trousers is more substantial. Goalie jocks (also known as jills) have reduced groin protection but they have more padding on the front of the cup.
Apparel
Hockey players have a lot of protective equipment because the sport requires high-speed skating over hard surfaces and is often physically challenging, with players frequently colliding and sometimes deliberately. The standard safety gear for hockey players includes sticks, ice skates and a helmet with a visor, shoulder pads, chest protectors elbow pads, gloves, heavy-padded shorts, (also called jock athletic protectors for men and jockstraps, or "jills" for women) and pelvic protection (also known as a girdle or a "jill" for females) and thigh pads, hip pads, tailbone pads and shins. A neck protector could be worn.
In recent times, technology has been used to reduce the weight of ice hockey clothing and make it more useful. For instance, many businesses are now using carbon composites for stick shafts and specialized foam can be found to make shoulder pads lighter without losing protection. Other enhancements include 3D scanning to properly model a player's body proportions to ensure that elbow, the knee and shin pads are specifically designed to fit the player.
The market for hockey is predicted to expand over the next few years as more people are aware of the sport, and since synthetic ice rinks are built all over the world, making it possible for players to play in areas which natural ice isn't available. In addition there has been a significant increase in the number of female players which is good for market growth.

Jerseys
The hockey jerseys are the uniforms hockey players wear. The jerseys are usually thicker and have longer sleeves than other jerseys for sports. The jerseys feature the team logo on the front as well as the last name of the player on top of the back, and a number from 0 to 100. Some jerseys also sport the letters "C" and an "A" on them, which indicates the team's captain and alternate captain.
There are two kinds: authentic and replica. Genuine jerseys are made of the same material as the jerseys worn by players, and they sport the same design. Replica jerseys are made of different (and typically less expensive) materials, and may not have the same design as the authentic jerseys.
Most NHL teams have three or four sets of jerseys that are worn during games. They also have special sets of jerseys for things like heritage designs and charity events. Each jersey has an inside back loop of fabric referred to as"fight strap "fight strap" that needs to be tacked to the player's pants to keep the jersey from being pulled over their heads during a game.
The Authentic Pro is the top-tier jersey from the NHL, and it is constructed of high-performance fabrics with multilayered tackle twill 3D embroidery, as well as reinforced stitching. It comes in women's and men's styles. The Authentic Premier is a lower-tier version of the Authentic Pro, and it is designed to mimic the look of the jerseys that players wear on the ice.
Shirts
The team's uniforms, also known as jerseys, are their most well-known piece clothing. They feature the team's primary logo on the front and include a second logo on the shoulders. The last name of a player is displayed on the back of the sweater, and the player's number is located below it, ranging from 0 to 99. Team captains wear an uppercase "C" above and to the right of their jersey's logo while two other players who are designated as alternate captains--wear a "A" on theirs.
Most NHL teams have a third or alternate jersey that is worn on special occasions, like for the Winter Classic or Stadium Series. Many teams also have an old-fashioned or throwback option for their home jerseys. These third sweaters allow teams to play around with new designs, and are often an inspiration for the design of their primary jerseys.
Vancouver Canucks' sweater is a beautiful combination of modern and traditional design. The navy and black jerseys are striking, making them easy to recognize on the ice. White stripes provide contrast. The Canucks also sport a unique font on their names and numbers which gives a clean look of the jersey.
